Vasile Seicaru
Vasile Seicaru is a Romanian folk singer.
He was born on the 10th of July in Galati. He started his career in the band Cristal in 1970. In 1978 he became a member of Cenaclul Flacara, and in 1984 he left it, but he continued his career as a folk vocalist, appearing on stage near known artists of rock, pop and folk music.
Since 1990 he evolved as a solo artist, having tours in Romania and in other countries as well(Germany, China, Koreea, Russia, USA, Canada, Sweden).
He participated at the most important national folk festivals: The Festival "Primavara Baladelor" (Spring of Ballads), National Festival of Folk "Om Bun"(in 1996 he recieved the Big Prize for his whole activiy). He also participated at important international festivals - The Rock Pop Folk festival in Moscow(where he recieved a prize for the song "Lumina" ("The Light") )
In 1996 he started again to colaborate with Stefan Hrusca and also with Victor Socaciu. They have concerts in Romania and especially in other countries like USA, Canada, Ireland, Germany, Austria, France, Belgium, Greece, Italy etc.
